SweetPro 16 is often referred to as our “Heifer Development Block”. Typically used with heifers and cows that have a good body condition score and are being fed good quality forages, SweetPro 16 supports the animal’s ability to breakdown forages for maximum nutrient uptake all while decreasing the amount of forage required to do so. This product is also popular with stocker/backgrounding operations to use on yearlings before they ship cattle to the feed yard.

When utilizing the SweetPro® Stage of Growth & Forage Consumption Program, SweetPro 16 is positioned between Cattle Kandi and FiberMate 18. If consumption on Cattle Kandi consistently exceeds 1.25 lbs per head per day, transition to SweetPro 16 to bring intake back into 0.75 to 1.25 lbs per head per day. If consumption on SweetPro 16 consistently exceeds 1.25 lbs per head per day, transition to FiberMate 18 to bring intake back into 0.75 to 1.25 lbs per head per day.
